Donor Egg/Sperm Bank Program
What is it?
A donor egg program is a very successful option for building a family because it has higher success rates than IVF cycle using a woman's own egg. Also, for a male whose sperm is not suitable for establishing pregnancy, he may consider using a donation-based sperm program.
How does it work?
Eggs collected by young women will be used in the treatment. Once the donor's eggs reach maturity, an egg retrieval is scheduled. Your partner will provide a sperm on the day of the egg retrieval for insemination.
Sperms donated by a healthy man will be screened and gone through tests beforehand. Only a selected few will be inseminated under an IVF speciliast's inspection. Those who wish to find out more about our sperm program, please send us an e-mail.
When is it used?
Donor egg program is often recommended for patients with decreased egg quality and/or quantity. Also it is suitable for following cases:
  • Age related infertility
  • Eggs that are unsuitable as a result of genetic disease
  • Women who have healthy ovaries and a regular menstrual cycle but do not respond well to fertility medications
  • Women who have not become pregnant with other assisted reproductive technologies for a significant period of time
Couples use donor sperm when the husband/partner has no sperm or a very poor semen analysis such as azoospermia, oligospermia, or poor motility. Donor sperms may be prepared for use by artificial inseminaiton.
