Microsurgical Embryo Fragment Removal
Microsurgical embryo fragment removal is a procedure designed to eliminate cellular fragments and improve the quality of the embryo for better pregnancy potential before embryo transfer. Embryo Vitrification (Freezing)
Embryo vitrification, a technique to freeze the remaining embryos after the embryo transfer, became a trend that is gradually spreading worldwide. MizMedi improves the conditions for the best in-vitro culture experience using a new incubator featured with the use of mixed gas and optimizes the condition of in-vitro culture by using G-Series™ media by Vitrolife.

Nowadays, microscopic camera enables a real-time observation of embryo development in the incubator and the introduction of Primovision, the latest high-technology medical device equipped with a high-grade embryo screening system, is expected to improve a clinical pregnancy rate.
Sperm DNA analysis to improve the efficiency of male infertility
The combination of halosperm kit to test damage in sperm DNA and computer assisted semen analyzer reduce the testing time and increases the accuracy of the test. MizMedi was the first to introduce such test that figures out the reasons of pregnancy failure due to undetected sperm DNA damage or repeated miscarriages and enables a proper treatment and care to improve the efficiency of male infertility treatment.
Assisted hatching via laser
MizMedi performs a procedure called assisted hatching, which is to make a part of zona pellucida thin for a easier hatching in the future. Assisted hatching is required when the zona pellucida is too thick or stiff for a natural hatching process to occur. In such case, assisted hatching can improve the embryo implantation and thus pregnancy rate.
Preimplantation Genetic Diagonsis (PGD) of Embryos
In the past, FISH (Fluorescence in situ hybridization) technique was widely used in order to check genetic abnormalities in embryos. Recently, Microarray CGH test that uses DNA chip is carried out for the first time in Korea for genetic diagnosis. This new testing method allows all 23 different chromosomes to be tested while the conventional FISH method only detect abnormalities of 4~5 chromosomes. PGD is, thus a safer and more secure method to pick the quality embryos before embryo transfer and improves pregnancy rate.
